According to an Osage County court clerk in the state of Oklahoma, Ree and her husband, Ladd, have been ticketed more than 30 times for their unsafe and illegal driving records.

It started in 1998, when Ladd was charged with one count of operating a motor vehicle with an expired license. He skipped out on his court appearance, and a warrant for his arrest was issued. It took more than a year for Ladd to pay the $130 fine, which a judge ended up dismissing a year later.

That same year, Ladd was pulled over once again and charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license altogether. He was fined an additional $73.

Over the next six years, Ladd was issued 10 speeding tickets in the state of Oklahoma, and was once again caught driving without a license. In 2008, Ladd was fined for unsafe driving, and after he failed to pay his ticket on time, was issued a bench warrant. His fines came to $306 combined for that one incident.

In 2009, Ladd had his license suspended for one month after he was caught speeding again.

“No payment was made so his license was suspended three months later, in April 2009,” a clerk said. “What we do is we send it in for suspension to the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety.”

But it's not just Ladd that has a driving record, it's also Ree.

In 2001, Ree's license was suspended for six months after she failed to pay a ticket she had received for not carrying insurance.

“If you don’t have insurance or didn’t have your insurance card with you, it’ll automatically suspend your license," explained a county clerk. "She probably didn’t know [she owed money] and realized it six months later and paid it off.”

Over a 10 year period, Ree racked up over $1,100 in speeding fines. She and her husband were also caught multiple times by police for driving without their seat belts on.

In total, the Drummonds have forked over $3,000 in fines and tickets. Maybe that's why they choose to stay on their ranch, now!
