Randy Travis has issued an apology over his 2012 DWI arrest, following the release of the video on Friday.
The footage was filmed on a police car's dashcam, after Travis drunkenly crashed his 1988 Trans Am in Tioga, Texas. Authorities found him stark naked and verbally combative at the scene. Prior to his arrest, he was seen walking into a convenience store, also completely nude.
Travis tried to block the release of the video on three separate occasions, and even created a petition, asking his fans to get involved on his behalf.
In the video, Travis can be seen cursing the arresting officers, and telling them he hoped they got cancer. He also threatened to shoot one with 60 rounds, and bury him under a barn.
Now a public statement has finally been released.
