Some religious practices may seem strange and unusual to those who haven’t experienced them in their own communities. This tends to breed fear, even about common practices that we in America find normal.
Our society was based on the notion of religious freedom, to pray to whichever God we so choose to call our own.
When people attempt to thwart our rights to practice them, it seems nothing more than narrow-sighted and ignorant to those who choose to keep an open mind.
So needless to say, there is a heated controversy over an online merchant site in England pulling a product that allowed people to practice a common procedure in their homes, either for religious or educational purposes.
Unfortunately, there will always be people who only see one side of the argument and want to impose their own doctrines on the rest of us.
But was censorship really necessary in this case?
